I had reached a point in my life where I was extremely unhappy, literally crying before I go to work everyday because I knew a 9 to 5 job was not what I wanted. My dream has always been to become a singer/ songwriter and an entrepreneur, being my own #girlboss and I was far, far away from that stage. That was in September of 2017; I had loans, bills to pay and many other commitments. So how could I have even left my job, needless to say even stay motivated and focused on my dream at the same time? I had already started pursuing this dream six years prior and failed miserably and had to resort to working a stressful 9 to 5 job for six years.
In the same month of September 2017, I took vacation and decided to do some reflections and research as to the reason why I am so unhappy and what I can do about it. I stumbled upon several articles, blogs and videos that had different techniques to try. As mentally lifeless as I were, I decided to apply some of these techniques to my life. To my surprise within a year of implementing these practical techniques, I was able to finally leave (literally walk out of) my 9 to 5 ‘good paying’ sales manager job and start pursuing my singing career full time and being an entrepreneur (#girlboss accomplished). Slowly but surely, I started getting singing gigs, started the process for my own company and became a freelance news anchor without even asking for this. I am sure these techniques will help you too!!
